Rajasthan Man Arrested For Threatening Bollywood Actor Salman Khan's Life Over Ransom Demand
In a significant turn of events, the investigation into threats against Bollywood icon Salman Khan has resulted in the arrest of a 32-year-old man in Karnataka. This arrest followed a threatening message demanding either an apology at a Bishnoi community temple or a ransom of Rs 5 crore from Salman Khan. Authorities quickly traced and apprehended the suspect responsible for this menacing threat.
The arrested individual, known as Bhikha Ram or Vikram, hails from Jalore, Rajasthan. On November 6, 2024, he was transferred to Maharashtra Police by Karnataka authorities for further interrogation. Anshu Kumar, Haveri Superintendent of Police, confirmed that the arrest was facilitated by intelligence from the Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad. Ram had relocated to Haveri about six weeks earlier and worked on construction sites while living in rented accommodation in Goudar Oni.

The threat against Salman Khan became public when Mumbai Police Traffic Control Room received a message claiming to be from Lawrence Bishnoi's brother. The message warned that Salman Khan must apologise at a specific temple or pay Rs 5 crore; otherwise, his life would be at risk as the gang remained active.
While watching a regional news channel, Ram allegedly called the Mumbai Police control room and claimed responsibility for threatening Salman Khan. He described himself as an admirer of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and primarily works as a daily wage labourer. The Mumbai Police are thoroughly investigating his claims to uncover more details about this plot.
Despite these threats, Salman Khan is busy with his upcoming film Sikandar, co-starring Rashmika Mandanna. This action-packed film is highly anticipated by fans and is set to release on Eid 2025.
