Saira Banu's Heartfelt Birthday Tribute To Bollywood Legend Manoj Kumar
Veteran actress Saira Banu delighted fans today by sharing a nostalgic and heartwarming tribute to Bollywood legend Manoj Kumar on his birth anniversary. The endearing message, accompanied by a carousel of cherished photos, highlighted their memorable moments together, both on and off the screen.
In her affectionate tribute, Saira Banu shared amusing anecdotes about Manoj Kumar's close bond with her late husband, the legendary Dilip Kumar, affectionately referred to as "Sahib." Their camaraderie extended beyond film sets to kite flying, omelet-making, and indulging in "Sher-O-Shayari." One memorable incident from the set of "AADMI" had Sahib humorously advising Manoj ji, "Yaar Tu Meri Tarah Shots Kar Le, Main Kuch Aur Tarika Nikaltaa Hoon!! Ha Ha!!"

"After my debut film, I received numerous offers, including one for 'SHAADI,' where I starred opposite Manoj ji for the first time. As a shy youngster, I often felt awkward during romantic scenes, but Manoj ji's understanding nature put me at ease. He would quietly step away during my solo shots, allowing me to perform comfortably. We were both people of few words, yet we worked harmoniously together," Saira reminisced.
Adding a light-hearted touch, Saira recounted humorous moments with Manoj Kumar's wife, Shashi, and their on-set adventures. "Shashi was lively and talented. She would often share how Manoj ji would hide under the bed-sheet, asking her to drive out a bumblebee from the bedroom!" she chuckled. One particular memory from "BALIDAAN" had the duo running handcuffed through flowing water, only for Manoj ji to humorously run behind Saira instead of protecting her from the oncoming 'Daaku.'
In her heartfelt birthday wish, Saira Banu highlighted the enduring bond between Manoj Kumar and her family. "In later years, Manoj ji remained close to our family. Happy Birthday, Manoj ji," she concluded.
