Sooraj Barjatya Praises Saif Ali Khan As A 'Warrior' Following Stabbing Incident In Mumbai
Saif Ali Khan, aged 54, was attacked at his Bandra residence in Mumbai on January 16. The assailant, whose identity remains unknown, stabbed him six times. Following the incident, Khan was quickly taken to Lilavati Hospital for spinal and plastic surgeries. He was discharged on January 21 after receiving medical care.
Director Sooraj Barjatya expressed confidence in Khan's resilience, describing him as a "warrior" who will emerge stronger from this ordeal. Barjatya and Khan collaborated on the successful 1999 family drama "Hum Saath Saath Hain." Reflecting on their work together, Barjatya said, "My wishes are always with him. We did a beautiful film together. We shot it for almost 150 days and it did so well. I wish him all the best, he's such a warrior. He's going to come out very strongly."

In "Hum Saath Saath Hain," Khan portrayed Vinod, the carefree youngest son of the wealthy Chaturvedi family. The film featured an ensemble cast including Tabu, Mohnish Bahl, Salman Khan, Sonali Bendre, Karisma Kapoor, Neelam Kothari Soni, Reema Lagoo, and Alok Nath.
Meanwhile, Barjatya is preparing for the release of his web series "Bada Naam Karenge." The series is set to premiere on SonyLIV on February 7. Barjatya takes on the role of showrunner for this project.
