Saif Ali Khan Stabbing Case: Mumbai Police Addresses Fingerprint Discrepancies Amid Ongoing Investigation

Saif Ali Khan's recent stabbing incident has left the nation in disbelief. Over a week ago, an intruder entered the Bandra home of Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan, attacking Saif during a burglary attempt. The Mumbai Police arrested Shareeful Islam Mohammed Shehzad Mohammad Rohilla Amin Fakir, also known as Vijay Das, a 30-year-old Bangladeshi national, in connection with the case.

Despite the arrest, questions have arisen about the suspect's involvement. Reports suggested that fingerprints from the crime scene did not match those of the arrested individual. However, Mumbai police officials have refuted these claims. Satyanarayan Chaudhary, Joint Commissioner of Police (Law and Order), stated that reports of fingerprint discrepancies are "not true."

Dixit Gedam, Deputy Commissioner of Police for Zone-9, addressed these claims by stating that the fingerprint analysis is still pending. He was quoted saying, "The fingerprint report is yet to come." This indicates that conclusions about the suspect's involvement remain premature until forensic results are available.

A CID officer further clarified that while the case is under Mumbai police investigation, any updates on fingerprint matches should be verified with them. The forensic lab is currently processing the report for further insights into the case.

The investigation has expanded beyond one suspect. Mumbai police suspect more individuals might be involved in this attack on Saif Ali Khan. On January 26, a police team traveled to West Bengal to pursue leads involving Khukmoni Jahangir Sheikh. This person allegedly provided Shareeful with a SIM card and may have connections to the crime.

Reports suggest Shareeful had been residing illegally in Kolkata after entering India from Bangladesh without proper documentation. This development has prompted authorities to explore broader networks possibly linked to this incident.

The investigation continues as authorities piece together evidence and testimonies related to this shocking event. The focus remains on uncovering all individuals involved and understanding their roles in this crime.
