Saif Ali Khan Expresses Gratitude To Auto-Rickshaw Driver After Knife Attack Incident
Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan recently expressed gratitude to auto-rickshaw driver Bhajan Singh Rana. Rana had swiftly transported Khan to the hospital following a knife attack at his Mumbai residence. In appreciation, Khan offered financial assistance and promised future support. The incident occurred on January 16 when an intruder attacked Khan in his Bandra apartment.
The intruder, identified as Mohammad Shariful Islam Shehzad, was apprehended in Thane. Shehzad, a Bangladeshi national who illegally entered India and assumed the name Vijay Das, was caught by authorities. Initial investigations indicate that the intruder intended to commit theft at Khan's home.

Khan sustained multiple stab wounds during the attack and underwent emergency surgery at Lilavati Hospital. He returned home on Tuesday after recovery. Before being discharged, Khan met Singh Rana at the hospital to personally thank him for his timely help.
Singh Rana shared his experience with PTI, saying, "I met him (Saif) yesterday at the hospital. He called to thank me, to help him reach the hospital. He praised me. I got the blessings from him and his family." This meeting highlighted the actor's gratitude towards his rescuer.
The police reported that Shehzad entered Khan's building by scaling its compound wall. He managed to enter through the main entrance while security guards were asleep. The investigation revealed that Shehzad's primary motive was theft.
During their meeting, Khan introduced Singh Rana to his mother, Sharmila Tagore. Singh Rana recounted, "He (Khan) introduced me to his mother (Sharmila Tagore), and I touched her feet. He gave me (money) whatever he felt was right, and said whenever I need help he will be there."
This incident underscores the importance of community support during emergencies and highlights how unexpected heroes can emerge in critical situations.
