Saif Ali Khan Injured During Burglary Attempt At His Mumbai Residence

Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan was injured during a burglary at his Bandra home in Mumbai. He was quickly taken to Lilavati Hospital after being stabbed multiple times by an intruder wielding a sharp weapon. The incident occurred as Saif bravely tried to lead his family to safety. The assailant initially entered through the room of Saif's young son, Jehangir.

Reports indicate that Saif, who was on the 11th floor, heard strange noises around 2:30 am. When he confronted the intruder, a struggle ensued, resulting in Saif being stabbed six times before the attacker fled. Authorities were alerted at approximately 3 am, and Saif was admitted to Lilavati Hospital by 3:30 am.

The early morning attack prompted immediate medical attention at Lilavati Hospital. Under the care of specialists like Neurosurgeon Dr. Nitin Dange, Cosmetic Surgeon Dr. Leena Jain, and Anaesthesiologist Dr. Nisha Gandhi, Saif underwent surgery for his injuries. Two of the stab wounds were particularly severe. Dr. Niraj Uttamani, Chief Operating Officer of the hospital, confirmed the successful surgery and stated, "Saif is out of danger. We will give a report in an hour."

The shocking event went unnoticed by building security, who reported no suspicious activity that night. Despite this lapse, Saif's quick actions to shield his family highlighted his courage and presence of mind. As they descended the stairs, he positioned himself between his family and the attacker.

Police are actively investigating the crime scene, collecting evidence and reviewing CCTV footage to locate the assailant who remains at large. This incident underscores the unpredictability of such threats and highlights the need for enhanced security measures.
