Saiee Manjrekar on Her Bollywood Return with 'Kuch Khattaa Ho Jaay' After Five Years

Saiee Manjrekar, known for her debut in "Dabangg 3" alongside Salman Khan, is making headlines as she gears up for her return to Bollywood with the upcoming film "Kuch Khattaa Ho Jaay". Despite the mixed box office performance of her debut, Saiee's portrayal received positive feedback. Venturing into the Telugu film industry post "Dabangg 3", she appeared in notable films such as "Ghani", "Major" (a Telugu-Hindi bilingual), and "Skanda". Now, after a five-year hiatus from Bollywood, she is set to feature in a film that has already piqued the interest of many due to its engaging trailer and captivating songs.

The film also marks the acting debut of popular singer Guru Randhawa, adding to the anticipation among fans. In a recent interaction with Filmibeat, Saiee disclosed her reasons for taking a break from Bollywood and choosing projects in the South. She emphasized that her decisions were partly deliberate and partly circumstantial. The actress expressed her inclination towards scripts offering substantial roles, regardless of the language, guided by advice from her father, Mahesh Manjrekar, who believes in transcending linguistic barriers through art.

Besides "Kuch Khattaa Ho Jaay", Saiee Manjrekar has another project in the pipeline - Neeraj Pandey's "Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha", featuring Ajay Devgn, Tabu, and Jimmy Sheirgill. This movie is scheduled for release on 26th April 2024. Directed by G Ashok, "Kuch Khattaa Ho Jaay" is set to hit the screens on 16th February 2024, promising a fresh and engaging cinematic experience for Bollywood enthusiasts.
