Sai Pallavi Takes Legal Action Against News Portal Over False Claims Of Vegetarianism For Ramayana Role

Sai Pallavi has recently been in the spotlight after being cast as Sita in Nitesh Tiwari's adaptation of the Ramayana. In this film, Ranbir Kapoor takes on the role of Lord Ram. As the movie undergoes post-production, rumours have emerged suggesting Sai Pallavi adopted a vegetarian lifestyle for her role. A media outlet reported this claim, which did not sit well with her. She responded on Twitter, criticising the outlet for spreading false stories and warned of potential legal action.

The report alleged that Sai Pallavi had pledged to avoid non-vegetarian food until filming concluded. It also claimed she travelled with a personal chef to maintain a vegetarian diet, even abroad, and chose vegetarian options at restaurants. Sharing this news, Sai Pallavi expressed her frustration over such baseless rumours.

She stated, "Most of the times, Almost every-time, I choose to stay silent whenever I see baseless rumours/ fabricated lies/ incorrect statements being spread with or without motives(God knows) but it's high-time that I react as it keeps happening consistently and doesn't seem to cease; especially around the time of my films' releases/ announcements/ cherish-able moments of my career!"

Continuing her statement, she issued a stern warning: "Next time I see any 'reputed' page or media/ individual carrying a cooked up crappy story in the name of news or gossip then you will hear from me legally! Period!"

The Ramayana film is planned to be released in two parts. The first part is scheduled for release in 2026, followed by the second part in 2027.
