Sahil Salathia Explores His Transition From Modelling To Acting In New Series

Sahil Salathia, recognised for his performance in 'Everest,' has shared insights into his modelling and acting journey. He began modelling during college and is now set to appear in 'Honeymoon Photographer.' This series, debuting on JioCinema Premium on 27th September, is an emotional thriller. It follows a honeymoon that turns sinister, featuring Sahil with Rajeev Siddhartha, Asha Negi, and Apeksha Porwal under Arjun Srivastava's direction.

The storyline centres on a romantic trip that spirals into chaos when the groom is discovered dead on the beach. Clues suggest multiple suspects, including a hired honeymoon photographer. While discussing his modelling career and ad work experience, Sahil states, "When I started modeling in college in 2012-2013, it came naturally to me. I was always a nice guy and never 'that sexy guy' on the ramp."

He elaborates further by saying, "I am not a quintessential model and I don't have a frame. As a model I did many advertisements, which though is also a form of acting, but more basic since there's no character development." Sahil highlights the challenges of conveying emotions within the short span of an advertisement.

Sahil emphasises the importance of being comfortable on camera: "In just 30 seconds, you can't showcase a range of emotions or a character arc. But, you need to be camera-friendly and bring genuine enthusiasm on screen even if you are just holding a toothpaste tube. If you're camera shy or lack confidence, it won't work."

Reflecting on his popularity and recent experiences, he shares, "People love me, and it feels great knowing that, as then it feels that I have done something right in life." He recently had the privilege of judging a modelling contest for selecting Jammu and Kashmir's representative for the Miss India pageant.
