Riya Barde Arrested In India For Illegal Stay And Family Involvement Investigation

Adult film star Riya Barde, also known by the names Arohi Barde and Banna Sheikh, has been detained by Maharashtra Police. She is accused of living in India illegally. Reports suggest that Riya, allegedly a Bangladeshi national, resided in India using fake documents. Authorities are also on the lookout for her family members linked to this case.

Riya was apprehended in Ulhasnagar, located in Thane district, Maharashtra. The charges against her include several sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). These are Sections 420 for cheating, 465 for forgery, 468 for forgery with intent to cheat, 479 concerning property marking, and 34 for acts done by multiple people with common intent. Additionally, Section 14A of the Foreigners Act is applied due to her alleged use of fraudulent documentation.

The case came to light when Prashant Mishra, an acquaintance of Riya Barde, informed the police about her illegal stay in India. His complaint prompted an investigation where authorities scrutinised her documents. This examination led to Riya's arrest.

The police have identified other family members involved in this case. These include her mother Anjali Barde or Ruby Sheikh, father Arvind Barde, brother Ravindra alias Riyaz Sheikh, and sister Ritu alias Moni Sheikh. It is believed that Anjali Barde originally hails from Bangladesh but married Arvind Barde from Maharashtra. She allegedly forged documents to claim Indian citizenship.

Currently, Riya's parents are said to be living in Qatar. This incident isn't Riya's first encounter with legal issues; she had been previously arrested related to a prostitution case. The investigation continues as police aim to pursue further legal actions against those implicated.
