Riteish Deshmukh Casts Vote In Latur, Calls On Youth To Exercise Their Voting Rights
Bollywood actor Riteish Deshmukh urged young voters to participate actively in the Maharashtra assembly elections. On Wednesday, he cast his vote in Babhalgaon, located in Latur district. His brothers, Amit and Dhiraj Deshmukh, are running for the Congress party in the Latur City and Latur Rural constituencies. Both are current MLAs representing these areas.
After casting his vote, Riteish emphasised the significance of voting day. He stated, "It is a very important day today as we are voting. The youth should come out and vote in large numbers and make their candidates win." His appeal highlights the crucial role of young voters in shaping the election outcome.

The voter turnout statistics until 11 am showed varying participation across different constituencies. Latur City recorded a 21.32 per cent turnout, while Latur Rural had 20.78 per cent. Other areas like Nilanga, Udgir, Ausa, and Ahmadpur reported 18.23 per cent, 17.97 per cent, 17.36 per cent, and 15.09 per cent respectively.
Riteish's involvement underscores his commitment to encouraging civic engagement among young people. By voting himself and urging others to do the same, he aims to inspire greater participation in the democratic process.
