Dust off your bicycle, don your cycling attire, and prepare to traverse through some of Dubai's most breathtaking landscapes; the renowned Dubai Ride, organized by DP World, is now accepting participants. This event promises an unforgettable journey past the city's landmark attractions.

Scheduled for Sunday, 10 November 2024, this event marks the fifth iteration of the largest community cycling event in the region. It invites people of all ages and cycling proficiencies to experience Dubai in a novel way. Dubai Ride is not merely a cycling event; it's a festivity that celebrates communal spirit, physical fitness, and the dynamic energy that positions Dubai as a top city for tourism, living, and working.

Experience Thrills with Dubai Ride Speed Laps

For those seeking an adrenaline rush, the newly introduced Dubai Ride Speed Laps are tailored for experienced cyclists above the age of 21. These speed laps, happening from 5:00 AM to 6:00 AM along the 12km Sheikh Zayed Road route, allow for an exhilarating high-speed cycling experience. Participants must maintain a minimum speed of 30km/h, ride a suitable bike, and adhere to the Dubai Ride Marshals' instructions. Following this, they can rejoin their families and friends for the main event. Separate registrations are necessary for Dubai Ride and the Speed Laps, with the latter opening on Monday, 14 October. It's an excellent opportunity for cyclists to test their limits on the iconic Sheikh Zayed Road.

A Glimpse into Last Year's Success and What's New

Last year's Dubai Ride was a monumental success, attracting 35,000 cyclists who collectively covered 546,000 kilometers. This achievement underscores the event's popularity within the Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC) calendar, offering a fantastic avenue for participants to meet their 30x30 fitness goals.

This year's event is designed to cater to everyone, from seasoned cyclists to novices. Participants can choose between a scenic 12km ride along Sheikh Zayed Road or a more relaxed 4km route through Downtown Dubai, each providing a distinct view of the city's architectural wonders like the towering Burj Khalifa, the futuristic Museum of the Future, and the iconic Dubai Opera.

The 2024 Dubai Ride is brought to you by DP World, alongside Association Partners like The Brain & Performance Centre – a DP World Company, Decathlon, Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), talabat, and Emaar. The event also boasts Official Partners such as Dubai Chambers, Emirates, and Mai Dubai, with Government Partners including the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, Dubai Police, and Event Security Committee. Participants will receive individual bibs for both Dubai Ride and Dubai Speed Laps, available for collection at the Dubai Municipality Zabeel Park 30 x 30 Fitness Village.
