Disney+ Hotstar has unveiled the trailer for its new drama series, Reeta Sanyal, featuring Adah Sharma in the lead role. The series promises a mix of courtroom drama and detective intrigue. Alongside Adah, the cast includes Ankur Rathee, Rahul Dev, and Manik Papneja. Produced by Rajeshwar Nair and Krishnan Iyer under Keylight Productions, it is directed by Abhirup Ghosh.

Director Abhirup Ghosh shared his excitement about bringing Reeta Sanyal to life. He described the show as a blend of courtroom drama, pulp fiction, and detective work. "Reeta Sanyal is a true blue masala show that has everything that us Indian audiences like to watch," he said. The series aims to entertain while exploring moral complexities through its engaging narrative.

Adah Sharma expressed her enthusiasm for playing Reeta Sanyal. She found the character's sharpness and fearlessness appealing. "Playing Reeta Sanyal was a crazy experience for me," she stated. Adah enjoyed portraying a master of disguises with a unique sense of humour, adding that viewers can expect a laugh riot from her performance.

Rahul Dev plays Thakral, a feared figure in legal circles who challenges Reeta. "Playing Thakral has been a rewarding experience," he remarked. His character operates in legal grey areas, creating tension with Reeta. Rahul appreciated director Abhirup Ghosh's guidance in shaping Thakral's complex persona.

Ankur Rathee portrays Jai, a quirky police inspector assisting Reeta in her investigations. He highlighted the dynamic between Jai and Reeta as both flirtatious and suspenseful. "I'm thrilled to bring this character to life," Ankur commented, noting how their interactions add layers to the story.

Unique Character Dynamics

Manik Papneja discussed his role in supporting Reeta's unpredictable nature. He praised Adah Sharma's energy on set, which helped build their characters' chemistry naturally. "Working with Adah was a blast-her energy is impeccable," Manik said, emphasizing their strong on-screen bond.

The series is based on Amit Khan's character creation and will be available for free on Disney+ Hotstar's mobile app starting October 14th. New episodes will release Monday through Friday, offering viewers an engaging blend of comedy, action, romance, and mystery.
