Raviraa Bhardwaj Celebrates Ganesh Chaturthi With Deep Devotion And Intimacy
"Some festivals completely transform the vibe of the entire city, and Ganesh Chaturthi is one of them," says actress Raviraa Bhardwaj, currently seen in the web show Aukaat Se Zyaada streaming on Yash Patnaik's YouTube Channel Freshh Mint. Raviraa shares that while she loves celebrating the festival, she prefers to do so in her own way.
Raviraa also makes time to visit her friends who host Ganpati at home. "I absolutely love the atmosphere. It's so auspicious and fun to be with friends during this time-it feels like family. No matter how busy I am with work, shoots, or meetings, I always make time to visit my friends' homes for Ganpati because it's something I would never miss. In Mumbai, and across the country, Ganpati fever always takes centre stage. When it comes to blessings, I only ask for happiness and prosperity for myself and my family. I think that's what everyone wishes for when they seek Bappa's blessings."

"Ganesh Chaturthi is a big festival in my family, but I like to celebrate it in a small, intimate way. This festival is extra special for me because I have a deep, divine connection with Ganesh Ji. I've always been a devoted Ganesh bhakt, so I keep my celebrations private. My plans include visiting various Ganesh pandals in Mumbai, especially the larger ones like Lalbaugcha Raja. Many of my friends also host Ganpati at their homes, and I always make it a point to visit them and pray together. It creates such a beautiful sense of camaraderie-it feels like being with family when you visit a friend's Ganesh pandal," she shares.
Speaking about how work life adjusts during the festival, Raviraa notes, "Managing work during this time is not difficult. The entire city of Mumbai slows down for the festival, and shoots are often not scheduled because everyone understands the importance of Ganesh Chaturthi. It's definitely manageable, and I wouldn't miss Ganesh Chaturthi for the world. I usually keep the celebration at home for just two days, and it's a very small, personal affair. I do all the Ganesh aartis myself because when the time comes for Ganpati's departure, I feel very emotional. It's a moment that is too personal for me to share widely. Someday, I'd love to have a larger celebration, but for now, it's too emotional for me to let Him go."
Traditional Delicacies
As for the food, Raviraa enjoys the traditional treats in moderation. "Modaks are always prepared, but since I don't have much of a sweet tooth, I eat them in moderation. My fitness doesn't take a backseat as I manage my diet carefully even with all the delicious savoury items around. I just make sure to balance everything-it's not a big deal for me," she concludes.
