Ramayana: Nitesh Tiwari's Live-Action Film Set For Two-Part Release During Diwali

The much-anticipated live-action film "Ramayana," directed by Nitesh Tiwari, is set to debut in two parts during the Diwali festivals of 2026 and 2027. This adaptation of the Hindu epic is produced by Namit Malhotra from Prime Focus Studios. The film reportedly features Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, and Yash in pivotal roles.

Malhotra expressed his excitement about the project on Instagram, sharing the official announcement. He stated, "More than a decade ago, I embarked on a noble quest to bring this epic that has ruled billions of hearts for over 5000 years to the big screen." He emphasized the dedication of his team in creating an authentic and visually stunning adaptation.

Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana to Release in Two Parts

The producer further elaborated on their mission: "Join us as we fulfill our dream of bringing our greatest epic to life with pride and reverence... Part 1 in Diwali 2026 and Part 2 in Diwali 2027. From our entire Ramayana Family." This statement was shared alongside the first poster of the film.

Reports suggest that Ranbir Kapoor will portray Ram, while Sai Pallavi will take on the role of Sita. In a recent interview, Yash confirmed he would play Ravan. However, the filmmakers have not yet officially announced the cast details.

Nitesh Tiwari, known for his work on films like "Dangal" and "Chhichhore," also took to Instagram to share his thoughts. He wrote, "With a heart full of gratitude and a dream to share our Ramayana, our culture and our history with the world, we seek your love and blessings."

This ambitious project aims to present one of India's most beloved stories with unmatched scale and visionary storytelling. The makers are committed to delivering a film that resonates with audiences worldwide while staying true to its cultural roots.
