Srikanth's Box Office Triumph: Rajkummar Rao's Film Crosses 30Cr, Beats Maidaan
Srikanth Box Office Collection Day 13: Rajkummar Rao has been in the spotlight, and for good reason. His first release of the year, Srikanth, has captivated audiences. Directed by Tushar Hiranandani, Srikanth is a biopic on Srikanth Bolla, a visually-impaired industrialist and founder of Bollant Industries. The film stars Rajkummar Rao in the titular role, alongside Alay F, Sharad Kelkar, and Jyothika.
Srikanth not only won hearts but also garnered positive word of mouth. The movie recorded an opening day collection of Rs 2.25 crores and had an impressive opening weekend. Despite a drop of over 62% in collections on the first Monday, Srikanth maintained a good hold at the box office during its first week. The positive word of mouth and lack of competition contributed to a growth of over 83% in collections.

Although the second Monday saw another drop in collections, Srikanth has been trying to maintain a steady run at the box office during its second week. According to Sacnilk, Srikanth collected Rs 1.5 crores on day 11 (second Monday) and Rs 1.25 crores on day 12 (second Tuesday). Early estimates suggest that Srikanth earned Rs 1.25 crores on day 13 (second Wednesday), bringing the movie's overall collection to Rs 30.10 crores. Notably, Srikanth managed to surpass Maidaan at the box office, which had collected Rs 75 lakhs on day 13.
As Rajkummar Rao enjoys the success of Srikanth, he is preparing for his next release - Mr and Mrs Mahi with Janhvi Kapoor. Directed by Sharan Sharma, this film marks Rajkummar's second collaboration with Janhvi after Roohi. Recently, Janhvi spoke about her experience working on the movie: "Our director is a purist and works with a lot of honesty, so he wanted me to become a cricketer for the film. He didn't want any cheating on that, didn't want to use VFX, or do anything half-heartedly. He wanted me to be one with this universe, be a cricketer wholeheartedly. I suffered a lot of injuries as well while prepping. Both my shoulders were dislocated, but I'd like to give all the credit to him, the director, and both my coaches Abhishek Nayar and Vikrant sir, who have done a lot of hard work and have held my hand at every turn."
