'Srikanth' Eyes 35Cr in Box Office Collections

Despite a dip in numbers post the opening weekend, positive word-of-mouth has helped Srikanth maintain a good hold at the box office. The film saw a significant increase in collections during its second weekend, crossing the Rs 26 crores mark. Although there was a notable drop in numbers on the second Monday, Srikanth has managed to remain stable since then.

According to Sacnilk, Srikanth earned Rs 1.5 crores on day 11 (second Monday) and Rs 1.25 crores on day 12 (second Tuesday). Early estimates suggest that the film collected Rs 1.25 crores on day 13 (second Wednesday), bringing its total collection to Rs 30.10 crores. Based on current trends, Srikanth is expected to earn between Rs 1-1.2 crores today (day 14/second Thursday), inching closer to the Rs 35 crores mark.

As Rajkummar Rao enjoys the success of Srikanth, he is also preparing for his next release, Mr and Mrs Mahi, alongside Janhvi Kapoor. Directed by Sharan Sharma, this film marks Rajkummar's second collaboration with Janhvi after Roohi. Janhvi recently shared her experience working on the film, stating that their director is a purist who insisted on authentic cricket training without relying on VFX or shortcuts.

"Our director wanted me to become a cricketer for the film," Janhvi said. "He didn't want any cheating or half-hearted efforts. I suffered several injuries while preparing, including dislocating both my shoulders. I credit our director and my coaches Abhishek Nayar and Vikrant sir for their unwavering support."
