Rajkummar Rao's Srikanth Poised To Hit ₹18Cr Mark In Opening Week Amid Rivalry

Srikanth Box Office Collection Day 7 Prediction: The month of May has been significant for Rajkummar Rao. His first release of the year, Tushar Hiranandani's Srikanth, has generated considerable interest. The film, featuring Jyothika, Sharad Kelkar, and Alaya F., is a biopic on Srikanth Bolla, a visually-impaired industrialist and founder of Bollant Industries.

The trailer and stellar cast created substantial buzz, leading to a strong opening at the box office despite competition from Wes Ball's Kingdom Of The Planet Of Apes. Srikanth earned Rs 2.25 crores on its opening day and maintained a strong hold during the opening weekend. Although there was a dip in numbers on the first Monday, the film continued to perform well.

Srikanth Nears ₹18Cr in Week One

According to Sacnilk, Srikanth collected Rs 1.6 crores on its first Tuesday (day 5) and Rs 1.50 crores on the following day (day 6/first Wednesday), bringing the total collection to Rs 16.45 crores. Based on current trends, Srikanth is expected to earn between Rs 1-1.5 crores today (day 7/first Thursday) and is likely to surpass the Rs 18 crore mark in its first week despite competition.

Rajkummar Rao shared his thoughts on playing the lead role in Srikanth, stating that he could relate to Bolla's perseverance and grit. "I could definitely resonate with his perseverance, with his grit and his working nature. I wouldn't say exactly, but I could somehow relate to his background because he too comes from a very humble background. And in my life also there were a lot of hardships when it came to money and having a big dream in life and to actually achieve that dream was something I could relate to," he told Firstpost.
