Bengali Singer Lagnajita Chakraborty Accuses Rajesh Roshan Of Sexual Harassment On Podcast

Bengali singer Lagnajita Chakraborty has made serious allegations against well-known music director Rajesh Roshan. During a recent episode of the podcast 'Straight Up With Shree', she accused him of sexual harassment. This accusation has been shared on both the podcast's and her Instagram accounts, where viewers can watch the clip.

In the video, Chakraborty recounts an incident from her time in Mumbai. She said, "When I used to live in Bombay, he (Rajesh Roshan) had called me to meet him in Santa Cruz and I went to his house. I sat down and he was sitting there as well. There were pianos and other instruments everywhere. By then, I had sung quite a few advertisement jingles. In front of him there was an open iPad. He told me, 'Sing something.' So I was searching for myself on YouTube. I was wearing a skirt at the time. As I was typing, I noticed that he was slowly moving closer to me. He kept approaching and I thought 'Let's see how far he comes and what he does.' Without any further ado, you won't believe this, it's awkward to even say this on camera, but he just slipped his hand inside my skirt as if it was nothing!"

Chakraborty explained that after the incident with Rajesh Roshan, she chose to leave without confronting him. She also mentioned that such behaviour is not uncommon in the music industry but refrained from naming others during the podcast.

As of now, neither Rajesh Roshan nor his family members like Rakesh Roshan or Hrithik Roshan have responded to these allegations made by Lagnajita Chakraborty.
