IPL 2024: Rajasthan Royals Team Up With Mayur Jumani For Airborne 'Chale Chalo' Remake

IPL 2024: Music composer and producer Mayur Jumani has teamed up with IPL team Rajasthan Royals and cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal to release a remake of "Chale Chalo" from the movie Lagaan. The video, which highlights teamwork and perseverance, was filmed entirely on a moving airplane from Ahmedabad to Chennai.

The Rajasthan Royals collaborated with Mayur to remake 'Chale Chalo' in celebration of their win on 22nd May against Royal Challengers Bangalore. Yuzvendra Chahal requested Mayur to create the song on a moving airplane using minimal instruments. Mayur is known for his viral creations like "Ekdum Krishna Lage che," "Jalebi Baby 90's version," and "Chori Patata Hai".

Rajasthan Royals' Airborne Anthem Remake

Speaking about his experience, Mayur Jumani said, "Working with the entire Rajasthan Royals team while flying at an altitude of 35,000 Ft. has been an exhilarating experience; I had the best time making this track. We wanted to create something memorable that celebrates the spirit of 'Chale Chalo' and remaking it with an energetic group of people like the RR team was surreal."

The remake of "Chale Chalo" pays homage to the original song's themes of unity and determination, infusing it with contemporary energy that resonates with both cricket fans and music lovers. This collaboration brings a fresh perspective to a beloved anthem, reflecting the Rajasthan Royals' journey and their ethos of resilience and teamwork.
