Kareena Kapoor Celebrates Raj Kapoor's Legacy With PM Modi's Special Note For Tim And Jeh

The Kapoor family recently gathered at Prime Minister Narendra Modi's residence to honour Raj Kapoor's legacy on his 100th birth anniversary. The event saw the presence of Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and other family members. Kareena shared numerous photos from this gathering, highlighting moments with the Prime Minister. A notable image showed Modi writing a note addressed to Tim and Jeh.

Other photos feature Kareena posing with Saif Ali Khan and family members. She expressed gratitude, saying they were "deeply humbled and honored" by the invitation to celebrate Raj Kapoor's legacy.

Kareena thanked PM Modi for hosting them, stating, "Thank you Shri Modi ji for such a special afternoon. Your warmth, attention, and support in celebrating this milestone meant the world to us." She further acknowledged Raj Kapoor's lasting influence on Indian cinema.

She added that as they celebrate 100 years of Raj Kapoor's contributions to cinema, they continue to be inspired by his enduring legacy. His work has left a timeless impact on generations of filmmakers and audiences alike.

To commemorate this milestone, she announced the 'Raj Kapoor 100 Film Festival', showcasing his iconic films across 40 cities in 135 cinemas from December 13-15, 2024. The festival aims to highlight his significant contributions to Indian cinema.

The meeting occurred shortly before Raj Kapoor's birthday on December 14. PVR INOX Limited and the Film Heritage Foundation organised an RK Film Festival for his centenary celebration. This festival will screen films in 101 cinemas across 34 cities from December 13-15.
