Radhika Madan Shares Her Journey From Aspiring Dancer To Acclaimed Actor
Radhika Madan has been making waves with her recent performance in the film Sarfira, where she stars alongside Akshay Kumar. Known for her talent in Indian cinema, Radhika's portrayal of Rani, a Marathi Mulghi, has been widely appreciated. Despite her success, many are unaware that acting was not her initial career choice.
In an interview, Radhika revealed the challenges she faced when she decided to pursue acting. She shared, "Mujhe actor banna bhi nahi tha. Mujhe professional dancer banna tha. I am trained in jazz, ballet, and modern. I wanted to learn tap dancing, go to New York, travel the world." Concluding the same she said, "I wanted to open a dance studio where I teach tap."

Radhika is a skilled dancer who has showcased her abilities in films. Her training includes jazz, ballet, and modern dance styles. Despite her passion for dance, she transitioned into acting and has since delivered numerous notable performances.
Discussing her role in Sarfira with Akshay Kumar, Radhika addressed the 29-year age gap between them. She noted that while it was a topic of discussion when the film was announced and during the trailer release, it wasn't mentioned in reviews post-release. She said, "It was there when the film was announced and when the trailer came out. But post the release surprisingly, I read 42 reviews and none of them mentioned about the age gap."
Radhika further elaborated on their on-screen chemistry, "All they mentioned was they have cracking chemistry, intense chemistry, and lovely chemistry. Everyone mentioned the chemistry. The same people who were saying that, 'why this' after watching the trailer."
The actress explained how the film addresses their age difference from the start, "Every explanation is beautifully shown in the film. Everything is addressed from the word 'go'. The age difference is addressed in my opening scene. The reason you don't feel that is because Veer and Rani's [their characters in the film] connection is way deeper. It's not that she's a good-looking younger chick or he is a handsome older guy."
