Pushpa 2 Week 1 Box Office Prediction: Allu Arjun's Film Poised To Surpass Shah Rukh Khan's Record
Pushpa 2, featuring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandana, has captured significant attention since its announcement. Directed by Sukumar, this action drama is among India's largest and most costly films, with a budget between Rs 400-500 crores. The film also stars Fahadh Faasil, Sunil, Dhananjaya, Jagapathi Babu, Rao Ramesh, and Anasuya Bharadwaj. It serves as the much-anticipated sequel to Pushpa: The Rise.
Released across India in multiple languages including Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam, Pushpa 2 has received enthusiastic reviews from both audiences and critics. The film has dominated the box office like a massive wave, breaking records daily. Notably, it achieved the highest opening day collection in Hindi and is now challenging Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan and Pathaan for top box office positions.

The Hindi version of Pushpa 2 has amassed Rs 331.7 crores after five days at the box office. With its strong performance in the Hindi market, predictions about its first-week earnings are circulating. Film business expert Rohit Jaiswal suggests that "Pushpa 2 first extended week in HINDI is expected to touch ₹420cr-₹425cr".
If these forecasts hold true, Pushpa 2 will surpass Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan and Pathaan in terms of first-week collections. Jawan collected Rs 347.98 crores while Pathaan earned Rs 351 crores during their initial weeks. Allu Arjun's film appears poised to break these records for the highest-grossing first week in the Hindi market.
During a promotional event, Allu Arjun discussed how Pushpa 2 transcends language barriers: "Doing a Hindi film was such a huge thing even to aspire for. We used to have that thing that, 'Maybe in our lifetime we will do one Hindi film'. It was that far away for us to do the Hindi film. So from that mindset to coming to this stage and standing here is a very big thing for me".
Pushpa 2 continues to make waves in cinemas across India with its impressive box office performance and cross-cultural appeal. As it challenges existing records set by Bollywood giants like Shah Rukh Khan's films, it highlights the growing influence of regional cinema on a national scale.
