Pushpa 2 Breaks Multiple Box Office Records On New Year's Day 2025

As the fourth week of its release draws to a close, Pushpa 2 continues to dominate the box office. On New Year's Day, January 1, 2025, the film saw a significant boost in its earnings. Despite the debut of Varun Dhawan's Baby John, Pushpa 2 maintained its strong performance. The movie broke several records on New Year's Day, showcasing its enduring popularity.

On Wednesday, January 1, 2025, Pushpa 2 amassed Rs. 13.15 Crore in total earnings. The Hindi version alone contributed Rs. 9.5 Crore to this figure. This brings the Hindi box office collection to an impressive Rs. 774.65 Crore. Overall, by Day 28, Pushpa 2's net collection in India reached Rs. 1184.65 Crore.

The film also performed well in other languages: Telugu brought in Rs. 330.53 Crore, Tamil earned Rs. 57.65 Crore, Kannada collected Rs. 7.68 Crore, and Malayalam added Rs. 14.14 Crore to the total.

Pushpa 2 set a new benchmark with the highest Day 28 earnings for a Hindi film, surpassing Stree 2 and Baahubali 2 with its Rs. 9.5 Crore collection on that day alone. With one day left in its fourth week, it has already achieved the highest fourth-week earnings for a Hindi movie at Rs. 50 Crore.

The previous record-holder was Stree 2 with Rs. 36.1 Crore during its fourth week. Additionally, Pushpa 2 made history as the first Hindi film to exceed Rs. 770 Crore in Hindi-language revenue.

There is no official announcement regarding Pushpa 2's OTT release date yet. However, Business Standard suggests that it might become available on Netflix by late January 2025.
