Pushpa 2 Box Office Day 8: Allu Arjun's Film Surpasses Rs 425 Crores And Breaks Records
Pushpa 2: The Rule, starring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna, has completed its first week at the box office with impressive results. This sequel to the 2021 film Pushpa: The Rise also features Fahadh Faasil, Jagapathi Babu, Rao Ramesh, Sunil, Anasuya Bharadwaj, and Dhananjaya in significant roles. Directed by Sukumar, this action drama was released in multiple languages including Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam and received positive reviews globally.
Allu Arjun plays the lead role of Pushpa Raj while Rashmika portrays his love interest Srivalli. Fahadh Faasil's performance as the antagonist Bhanwar Singh Shekawat has also been noteworthy. Pushpa 2 has revitalised the box office by setting new records daily and maintaining strong ticket sales even after a week.

The film had an outstanding first week at the box office, earning Rs 398.1 crores in the Hindi market. As it entered its second week, there was a slight decline in earnings with Rs 27.5 crores collected on day 8 (second Thursday), bringing the total Hindi version collection to Rs 425.6 crores.
Remarkably, Pushpa 2 has become the fastest film to surpass Rs 400 crores in the Hindi market. It broke Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan record which took 11 days to reach this milestone. Additionally, Pushpa 2 outperformed Ranbir Kapoor's Animal by recording the highest eighth-day collection of Rs 21.56 crores. It also achieved records for both highest eight-day and second Thursday collections.
During a promotional event, Allu Arjun expressed his thoughts on Pushpa 2 breaking language barriers: "Doing a Hindi film was such a huge thing even to aspire for. We used to have that thing that 'Maybe in our lifetime we will do one Hindi film'. It was that far away for us to do the Hindi film. So from that mindset to coming to this stage and standing here is a very big thing for me."
