Pushpa 2 Box Office Day 5: Allu Arjun's Film Experiences Significant Collection Drop

Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna are celebrating the success of their latest film, Pushpa 2: The Rule. Directed by Sukumar, this movie has become one of the year's biggest hits. Made with a massive budget ranging from Rs 400 to 500 crores, Pushpa 2 has generated significant excitement in the industry due to its scale and anticipation.

Pushpa 2 is an action drama sequel to the 2021 film Pushpa: The Rise. Besides Allu Arjun and Rashmika, it stars Fahadh Faasil, Jagapathi Babu, Rao Ramesh, Sunil, Anasuya Bharadwaj, and Dhananjaya. Released in multiple languages including Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, and Malayalam, the film has performed well across all versions.

The film set a record for the highest opening day collection ever and saw impressive numbers over its first weekend. However, on its first Monday after release, Pushpa 2 experienced a significant drop in earnings. According to Sacnilk's report, after earning Rs 85 crores on day four (Sunday), collections fell by 50% on day five to Rs 46 crores. This brought the total earnings to Rs 331.7 crores.

Despite becoming the fastest film to reach Rs 300 crores in just five days and surpassing Jawan's six-day record for this milestone, Pushpa 2 couldn't outdo Salman Khan's Tiger 3. It recorded the second-highest first Monday collection as Tiger 3 had earned Rs 58 crores on its first Monday.

At a promotional event, Allu Arjun discussed how Pushpa 2 transcended language barriers. He remarked on the significance of doing a Hindi film: "Doing a Hindi film was such a huge thing even to aspire for. We used to have that thing that, 'Maybe in our lifetime we will do one Hindi film'. It was that far away for us to do the Hindi film. So from that mindset to coming to this stage and standing here is a very big thing for me".
