Pushpa 2 Box Office Day 29: Allu Arjun’s Film Experiences Significant Drop In Collections
Allu Arjun has solidified his status as a major star in India with the release of Pushpa 2: The Rule. This film, directed by Sukumar, has become the highest-grossing movie ever, igniting the box office from day one. Featuring Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil alongside Arjun, this sequel to 2021's Pushpa 1: The Rise was highly anticipated for 2024.
Pushpa 2 is Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna's second collaboration, and their chemistry has captivated audiences. Released in multiple languages including Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada, the film received rave reviews across all versions. It achieved the highest opening in Hindi, surpassing hits like Stree 2, Pathaan, Jawan, and Gadar 2. However, as it entered its fifth week, box office numbers began to decline.

After a significant boost in collections on New Year's Day 2025, Pushpa 2 experienced a sharp decline in the Hindi market. According to Sacnilk's report, the film earned Rs 9.5 crores on day 28 (fourth Wednesday), ending week four strongly. Yet, by the fifth week, earnings dropped significantly to Rs 5 crores on day 29 (fifth Thursday).
On its twenty-ninth day (fifth Thursday), Pushpa 2 earned Rs 3.75 crores in the Hindi market—the lowest single-day collection for this Allu Arjun starrer. This brought the total earnings of the film to Rs 778.4 crores.
During a promotional event for Pushpa 2, Allu Arjun spoke about breaking language barriers with this film. He shared his thoughts: "Doing a Hindi film was such a huge thing even to aspire for. We used to have that thing that, 'Maybe in our lifetime we will do one Hindi film'. It was that far away for us to do the Hindi film. So from that mindset to coming to this stage and standing here is a very big thing for me".
