Pushpa 2 Box Office Day 12: Allu Arjun’s Film Sees Significant Dip Yet Surpasses Animal's Earnings

Allu Arjun has been in the spotlight since the announcement of Pushpa 2. Directed by Sukumar, this sequel to the 2021 hit Pushpa: The Rule, features Rashmika Mandanna, Fahadh Faasil, and Jagapathi Rao. As an action-packed entertainer, Pushpa 2: The Rule has become one of the most eagerly awaited films of the year.

Released on December 5, Pushpa 2 hit theatres in multiple languages including Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada. Allu Arjun and Rashmika reprised their roles as Pushpa Raj and Srivalli. The film received rave reviews from both audiences and critics and has been making waves at the box office daily. It has set numerous records in the Hindi market.

The second weekend saw a significant boost in box office numbers for Pushpa 2. However, there was a noticeable drop of over 60% in collections on the second Monday. According to Sacnilk's report, the film earned Rs 21 crores on day 12, bringing its total Hindi market earnings to Rs 573.1 crores.

Despite the decline in figures, Pushpa 2 continues to break records. It not only achieved the highest second Monday collection but also surpassed Ranbir Kapoor's Animal's lifetime earnings. Additionally, it became the fastest film to reach Rs 550 crores in the Hindi market.

At a promotional event, Allu Arjun shared his thoughts on Pushpa 2 transcending language barriers. He remarked, "Doing a Hindi film was such a huge thing even to aspire for. We used to have that thing that, 'Maybe in our lifetime we will do one Hindi film'. It was that far away for us to do the Hindi film. So from that mindset to coming to this stage and standing here is a very big thing for me".
