Pushpa 2 Box Office Collection Surpasses Baahubali 2 With Highest Week 2 Earnings In Hindi
Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna are celebrating the success of their film, Pushpa 2. This action drama, directed by Sukumar and featuring Fahadh Faasil as the antagonist, is a sequel to the 2021 release Pushpa: The Rise. Released on December 5, it has made a significant impact in Indian cinema. The movie was released in multiple languages including Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam.
Pushpa 2 has particularly excelled in the Hindi-speaking regions. It opened with an impressive Rs 70.3 crores on its first day in the Hindi market. The film continued to perform well throughout its opening weekend and maintained a strong presence at the box office during its first week. The second weekend saw an increase in collections, and the film sustained its momentum into the second week.

Sacnilk reports that Pushpa 2 experienced a gradual decline in earnings during its second week. On day 13 (second Tuesday), it earned Rs 18.5 crores, followed by Rs 16.5 crores on day 14 (second Wednesday). This brought its total earnings in the Hindi market to Rs 607.6 crores.
On the second Wednesday, with Rs 16.5 crores collected, Pushpa 2 achieved a week two total of Rs 209.5 crores. This surpassed previous records set by Baahubali 2 and Stree 2 for highest week two collections. Baahubali 2 had earned Rs 143.25 crores while Stree 2 collected Rs 141.4 crores during their respective second weeks.
At a promotional event, Allu Arjun discussed how Pushpa 2 transcended language barriers: "Doing a Hindi film was such a huge thing even to aspire for. We used to have that thing that, 'Maybe in our lifetime we will do one Hindi film'. It was that far away for us to do the Hindi film. So from that mindset to coming to this stage and standing here is a very big thing for me".
