Pushpa 2 Box Office Collection: Allu Arjun’s Film Achieves Record Rs 5.5 Crores On Day 32

Allu Arjun has been making waves recently, and for good reason. His film, Pushpa 2: The Rule, has become a monumental success. Released on December 5, this sequel to the 2021 hit Pushpa 1: The Rise is directed by Sukumar and stars Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil alongside Arjun. It was one of the most eagerly awaited films of 2024.

Pushpa 2 was released in multiple languages including Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada. This film is among the costliest in Indian cinema history. Allu Arjun plays Pushpa Raj while Rashmika portrays Srivally, his romantic interest. Fahadh Faasil takes on the role of the main antagonist. From its opening day, Pushpa 2 has achieved remarkable box office success across all languages, surpassing major hits like Jawan and Pathaan.

The film experienced a noticeable increase in earnings during its fifth weekend. According to Sacnilk's report, Pushpa 2 earned Rs 4.4 crores on day 31 (5th Saturday) in the Hindi market and Rs 5.5 crores on day 32 (5th Sunday). This brought the total earnings in the Hindi market to Rs 791.2 crores.

Despite facing competition from Varun Dhawan's Baby John in Hindi cinemas, Pushpa 2 outperformed it at the box office. While Baby John earned Rs 1.65 crores during its second week, Pushpa 2 amassed Rs 9.9 crores over its fifth weekend in Hindi-speaking regions.

At a promotional event, Allu Arjun shared his thoughts on Pushpa 2 breaking language barriers: "Doing a Hindi film was such a huge thing even to aspire for. We used to have that thing that, 'Maybe in our lifetime we will do one Hindi film'. It was that far away for us to do the Hindi film. So from that mindset to coming to this stage and standing here is a very big thing for me".
