Purab Kohli Talks Reunion With Kenneth Desai In '36 Days' Series

The trailer for Sony LIV's upcoming series 36 Days has captivated audiences with its intense and thrilling sneak peeks. This highly anticipated show promises a gripping storyline that explores the complexities of the human mind. A notable highlight is the reunion of actors Purab Kohli and Kenneth Desai, who are sharing the screen again after 26 years. They were last seen together in a popular late 90s television series. As fans eagerly await the premiere on July 12, Purab reflects on reuniting with Kenneth and their shared journey.

"Reconnecting with Kenny on the sets of 36 Days after over two and a half decades has been truly special," expresses Purab. He further reveals, "We first worked together in my early days of acting - in the late 90s. Where he was our strict maths teacher. It's lovely that our paths have converged after all these years, and coming together again in such a compelling project feels very good, and our roles share a relationship that is quite different from what we shared in our show back in the days. I've grown a lot as an actor and an individual, and acting scenes with him as a more mature person was very interesting. Working alongside Kenny has always been a pleasure. There's a deep respect I have for his talent, which translates effortlessly into his performance. I'm excited for viewers to witness this dynamic between us once more, this time its really on a different scale on our very exciting series - 36 Days."

In this series, Kenneth Desai plays Denzel Machado, a gifted painter whose life spirals into darkness following a tragic loss, leading him to isolate himself in Goa. On the other hand, Purab Kohli portrays Dr. Rishi Jaykar, an accomplished doctor dealing with personal and professional challenges alongside his wife Radhika amidst their chaotic life in Goa.

Directed by Vishal Furia, 36 Days is an official Indian adaptation of the Welsh drama 35 Diwrnod. The series features an impressive cast including Neha Sharma, Amruta Khanvilkar, Sushant Divgikar, Shruti Seth, Sharib Hashmi, Kenneth Desai, and Chandan Roy Sanyal. Produced by Applause Entertainment in collaboration with BBC Studios India, the show is set against the tranquil backdrop of a suburban housing estate in Goa.

The thriller takes viewers through an intricate web of lies, deceit, romance, and intrigue as a mysterious woman disrupts the neighbourhood upon her arrival.
