Priyanka Chopra Jonas Announces Theatrical Release Of 'Paani', Aims At Environment Conservation
Priyanka Chopra Jonas has announced the release date for the Marathi film "Paani," which she produced with her mother, Madhu Chopra, under their banner Purple Pebble Pictures. The film, which won a national award in 2019 for 'best film on environment conservation/preservation,' will hit theatres on October 18. Priyanka shared this news via an Instagram post.
"This is very very special. Our Marathi feature film 'Paani' is all set to release theatrically on 18th October. See you in the theatres!" the 42-year-old actor wrote alongside a teaser of the project.

The movie, directed by Addinath M Kothare, who also stars in it, features Rucha Vaidya, Subodh Bhave, Rajit Kapur, Kishor Kadam, Sachin Goswami, Mohanabai, Shripad Joshi and Vikas Pandurang Patil. Nitin Dixit penned the script. The story centres around a man living in a drought-stricken village and his efforts to make it self-sufficient while facing local goons and other challenges.
In her statement about the film, Priyanka said: "This film is special, challenging to make but so relevant for the time we live in. This is an inspiring story of one man's journey to find solutions that will radically change the lives of all those around him."
Priyanka emphasised that "Paani" is a passion project addressing a critical issue. She added: "At Purple Pebble Pictures , we're dedicated to collaborating with incredible talent and crafting local stories from every region of India. 'Paani' is a shining example of an entertaining, inspiring film with a pressing concern, and I'm so proud of Addinath's remarkable directorial debut."
"Paani" marks Priyanka's fourth Marathi production following "Ventilator," "Kay Re Rascalaa," and "Firebrand." Recently, she completed filming her upcoming Hollywood project "The Bluff," co-starring Karl Urban.
