Kalki 2898 AD's Box Office Journey: Prabhas' Epic Inches Towards ₹235 Crore
Kalki 2898 AD Box Office Collection Day 15 (Hindi) Prediction: Nag Ashwin's latest film, Kalki 2898 AD, has generated significant anticipation this year. The movie's intriguing plot and stellar cast have captivated fans. Featuring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, and Disha Patani, the dystopian science fiction film is set in a post-apocalyptic world in 2898 AD.
The story centres around Kalki, the tenth and final avatar of the Hindu deity Vishnu. It is touted as Indian cinema's most expensive film with a budget of Rs 600 crores. Released amid much buzz globally, Kalki 2898 AD had an impressive start in the Hindi market with an opening day collection of Rs 22.5 crores. The film entered the Rs 100 crores club during its opening weekend and surpassed Rs 200 crores by the second weekend.

According to Sacnilk, Kalki 2898 AD experienced a notable drop on its second Monday, earning Rs 6.5 crores on day 12. This was followed by Rs 5.4 crores on day 13 and Rs 4.75 crores on day 14, bringing the total to Rs 229.05 crores. Given this trend, it is expected to earn around Rs 4 crores today (day 15), inching closer to the Rs 235 crores mark.
Nag Ashwin mentioned in an interview with Deadline that Kalki 2898 AD will depict some events from the Mahabharata set in the year 3102 BC. He clarified that the movie "does not involve any characters actively worshipped by large numbers of Hindus." He added, "We can take it as extremely religious or we can take it as the story of somebody who was born with a lot of power, didn't know what to do with it, and found his mentor in the process."
The film's unique narrative and high production value have contributed to its strong box office performance despite fluctuations in daily earnings. Fans are eager to see how it continues to fare in the coming weeks.
