Kalki 2898 AD Advance Booking In USA: Prabhas-Deepika's Film Earns $135K

Kalki 2898 AD Advance Booking Collection USA Day 1: Deepika Padukone, last seen in Siddharth Anand's Fighter, is now making headlines for her upcoming release. Nag Ashwin's sci-fi action film, Kalki 2898 AD, features Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, and Disha Patani. This film marks Deepika's first collaboration with Prabhas and her third with Amitabh Bachchan after Piku and Aarakshan.

Kalki 2898 AD is already generating significant buzz and will release on June 27 across India in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada, and English. Interestingly, the film will premiere overseas in the USA on June 26, with advance bookings already underway. According to media reports, the film has seen a strong opening in advance bookings.

Kalki 2898 AD Hits $135K in US Pre-Sales

As per a report by Times Of India, Kalki 2898 AD has sold 4,200 tickets within 24 hours in the USA, generating a collection of USD 135,000 (approximately Rs 1.1 crores). This indicates a promising start for the film's advance bookings. With 19 days left until its release, Kalki 2898 AD is expected to see substantial collections from advance bookings in the USA. It remains to be seen how it will perform in India.

The film reportedly chronicles some events of the Mahabharata set in the year 3102 BC. In an interaction with Deadline, Nag Ashwin clarified that the movie "does not involve any characters actively worshipped by large numbers of Hindus." He added, "We can take it as extremely religious or we can take it as the story of somebody who was born with a lot of power, didn't know what to do with it, and found his mentor in the process."
