Parambrata shared his thoughts on the genre with t2Online: "Horror is one of my favourite genres and despite having the greatest horror stories and novels in Bengali, it's a genre hardly explored by our Bengali film industry. I love to believe that there's another world of unearthly beings that exist parallelly to us. I like being scared of the unknown, it's like unboxing my cascading imagination, and I've translated the same in Nikosh Chhaya."
