Nikhil Nagesh Bhat Sees 'Kill' Compared To 'Animal' As A Compliment
Kill, featuring Lakshya, Raghav Juyal, and Tanya Maniktala, has been a hot topic since its release. The film is considered the most violent in Bollywood to date. After its debut, comparisons with Ranbir Kapoor's Animal emerged. Some social media users even claimed that Animal's violence paled in comparison to Kill.
Filmibeat recently spoke with Kill director Nikhil Nagesh Bhat about these comparisons. When asked about the parallels between his film and Animal, he remarked, "It's a very huge compliment. Being compared to Animal which is a blockbuster film, and it is a very good film. It is of different genre, but it is a great film. The fact that it has been blockbuster, and seen by so many people and loved by so many people, so if someone is saying that this movie is like Animal or John Wick, then it is a compliment. What else do you want, when your film's name is being taken with so many successful films! It is a huge thing."

In today's cinema landscape, successful films often lead to franchises. When asked if there are plans for Kill 2, Nikhil shared his thoughts: "Right now, we are just looking at the love that Kill 1 is getting. I am saying Kill 1; I am already manifesting (smiles). But yes, if there's ample of love and response to the film, you never know, we might make Kill 2."
The box office performance of Kill has been noteworthy. In just 14 days, the movie has amassed around Rs. 17 crore. This achievement is significant considering the cast comprises relatively new actors. Projections suggest that by the end of its third week, Kill could collect between Rs. 22-24 crore.
The success of Kill highlights its impact on audiences and sets a benchmark for future Bollywood action films. The positive reception might pave the way for more intense and gripping narratives in Indian cinema.
