Netflix has unveiled the trailer for "Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar," a much-awaited Indian series by the acclaimed director Sanjay Leela Bhansali, set to make its debut on May 1st, exclusively on Netflix. This series takes viewers into the heart of Heeramandi, a district overseen by Mallikajaan, portrayed by Manisha Koirala, who leads an elite courtesan house. The narrative thickens with the arrival of Fareedan's daughter, played by Sonakshi Sinha, stirring up tensions within the house and beyond.

The storyline intricately weaves through the lives of Mallikajaan's daughters, Bibbojaan (Aditi Rao Hydari) and Alamzeb (Sharmin Segal), as they navigate through love, betrayal, and the quest for freedom. Bibbojaan steps into the revolutionary fight for India's independence from British rule, while Alamzeb finds herself entangled in a forbidden romance with Tajdar (Taha Shah Badussha), a nobleman's son.
