NCR OTT Series: Nalneesh Neel Consumes Raw Goat Meat For Authentic Role Preparation

Actor Nalneesh Neel took his role in the series "NCR" to extreme lengths by consuming stale, raw goat meat. This was part of his preparation to convincingly portray Jaggi, a character involved in cannibalism. To make the scene feel authentic, my team used a dummy body with a silicone heart and raw goat meat. I had eaten goat meat before, but this time, the meat had been kept for 2-4 days and was obviously raw. To make the scene convincing, I had to eat the raw meat and splatter blood around my mouth. I remember washing my face and gargling repeatedly. I still can't forget the taste and the feeling of disgust I had. But I did it willingly to portray conviction in my character. I wanted the shot to look absolutely realistic to portray the gore and unbelievable heinous act." This dedication underscores the challenges actors face in their pursuit of authenticity.
