National Museum Of Indian Cinema Marks 6th Anniversary With Special Day For Children Featuring Free Entry And Activities

The National Museum of Indian Cinema (NMIC) in Mumbai, managed by the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC), is marking its 6th anniversary with a special event for children. On 19th January, children aged 13 and under can enjoy free entry to the museum located on Pedder Road.

Throughout the day, various engaging activities are planned to spark creativity and nurture a passion for cinema among young visitors. These include competitions and film screenings tailored for children.

A guided tour of the museum will be available for kids, along with a creative art session. In this session, children can paint their visions of the film museum, expressing their creativity through art. Additionally, there will be a screening of the silent film Kaliya Mardan.

This screening will feature a live orchestra performance by visually impaired artists from Shreerang Charitable Trust, under the direction of Dr. Sumeet Patil. This unique musical accompaniment aims to enhance the cinematic experience for young audiences.

Aanchal Munjal, an actress known for her roles in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu films, will honour the winners of the "Paint Your Canvas" session. Her presence adds a touch of glamour to the event as she acknowledges the artistic talents of participating children.

The celebration will wrap up with a screening of Appu Ki Pagdandi. This heartwarming film is chosen for its appeal to young viewers, offering them an inspiring story that resonates with their experiences.
