Namacool OTT Release: Anushka Kaushik Transforms Into Lucknow's 'Qahar'
Namacool Update: Amazon miniTV, Amazon's free video streaming service, has been gaining attention with its diverse content library. Recently, the streaming service released its newest comedy-drama, Namacool, featuring elements of bromance and mystery. Set in the bustling city of Lucknow, the series follows best friends Mayank and Piyush as they navigate their college journey to discover what it means to be a true man. Despite their aspirations for romance and fame, a series of absurd mishaps forces them into the center of a murder charge. Produced by Reliance Studios - Namit Sharma and directed by Ritam Shrivastava, Namacool features a stellar cast, including Hina Khan (Rubiya), Abhinav Sharma (Mayank), Aaron Koul (Piyush), Abhishek Bajaj (Chakku) along with Anushka Kaushik (Minty) in pivotal roles.
Anushka Kaushik, who plays the role of a jazzy and upfront content creator Minty, is often referred to as the 'Qahar' of the culturally rich city in the series. Shedding light on what made her say yes to the role, she shared, "Every time I read a script, it's typically the plot that determines how much I love it as a viewer. With Namacool, I found the story intriguing, and I've never portrayed a role like this one before. Minty is fun and quirky, while all of my previous characters have been calm and clever. Minty is unique in her own way; she knows how to get things done."

Anushka further revealed how much she relates to her character, saying, "I've encountered characters like Minty before, and I find them quite interesting to portray on screen. Sometimes, I feel unsure, just like Anushka. But then, there are others who exude confidence in themselves. That's Minty for you. She is confident about everything she does, which makes this character quite endearing. Her confidence is something that I really admire and want to acquire in life."
Namacool is now streaming exclusively on Amazon miniTV for free within Amazon's shopping app. It is also available on Prime Video, Fire TV, Smart TVs, or can be downloaded from Play Store.
