My Melbourne Anthology Featuring Kabir Khan And Imtiaz Ali Premieres At MAMI 2024

After its successful debut at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) 2024, "My Melbourne," an anthology directed by Imtiaz Ali, Kabir Khan, Rima Das, and Onir, is set to premiere in India. This event will take place at the Mumbai Film Festival (MAMI) 2024 on 22nd October. The film will be showcased in the "Gala Section," with all four directors present. Mitu Bhowmick Lange produced the film in collaboration with VicScreen and Screen Australia.

The anthology features four unique stories that explore themes of identity and belonging through diverse perspectives. This project is a result of a collaboration between IFFM and Film Victoria, aiming to promote cross-cultural storytelling. Emerging filmmakers from Melbourne worked alongside these renowned directors to create narratives that reflect diversity in gender, race, sexuality, and disability. The shorts include 'Emma' by Rima Das, 'Jules' by Imtiaz Ali, 'Nandini' by Onir, and 'Setara' by Kabir Khan.
