Mushtaq Khan Claims Abduction And Ransom Demand Following Deceptive Event Invitation In Meerut

Actor Mushtaq Khan has alleged abduction after being misled to an event, echoing a similar incident with comedian Sunil Pal. Khan's business partner, Shivam Yadav, shared the distressing experience with India Today Digital. Khan was invited to an award ceremony in Meerut on November 20, receiving an advance payment and flight tickets. However, upon reaching Delhi, he was taken to a secluded area near Bijnor instead of the event.

Yadav described how Khan endured nearly half a day of torture by his captors, who demanded a ransom of one crore rupees. They withdrew over Rs 2 lakh from Khan and his son's bank accounts. During the morning azaan, Khan seized the chance to escape, finding safety near a mosque. With help from locals and police, he returned home. Despite being deeply shaken, Khan decided to file charges. "Mushtaq sir and his family were completely shaken over what happened with him. However, he was always sure that he would file an FIR after he composed himself. Yesterday, I went to Bijnor and filed an official FIR. We have proof of the flight ticket, the bank accounts and even CCTV footage near the airport. He also recognises the neigbhourhood, even the house where he was kept. I think the police team will surely get the culprits soon," Yadav stated.

The resemblance between Khan's ordeal and Sunil Pal's recent kidnapping has sparked concerns about a possible criminal network targeting entertainment figures. Yadav expressed surprise upon learning about Pal's case and stressed the need for awareness and protection for public personalities. "We had no clue about the case. After Mushtaq sir returned, we spoke about the incident with a few of our close friends. When Sunil's case was highlighted in the media, they informed us about the same. It is shocking that two public figures from the industry had to go through a similar ordeal. We hope there is awareness and protection in the future for everyone."

Khan is currently recovering from this traumatic event and intends to address it publicly soon. Known for his role in "Stree 2," this incident highlights potential dangers celebrities face and underscores the necessity for enhanced security measures to protect them from such threats.
