Munjya Box Office Collection Day 17 Prediction: It's been three weeks since Sharvari and Abhay Verma's horror comedy Munjya hit the theatres, and this Aditya Sarpotdar directorial has emerged as a true winner. Based on the legend of Munjya, inspired by Indian folklore, the film also features Mona Singh, Suhasini Singh, Taranjot Singh, and Sathyaraj in lead roles. Munjya opened to rave reviews and recorded an opening day collection of Rs 4 crores.
Munjya is the fourth film in Dinesh Vijan's Maddock's supernatural universe after Stree, Roohi, and Bhediya. The movie has been performing strongly at the box office since its release and has managed to surprise everyone. After an impressive opening weekend, the movie crossed the Rs 50 crores mark during the second weekend. The second week brought some competition for Munjya with the release of Kartik Aaryan starrer Chandu Champion. However, Munjya managed to outshine Chandu Champion and continues to perform well at the box office.

Interestingly, Munjya saw an impressive hike in numbers during the third weekend. According to a report published in Sacnilk, after collecting Rs 3 crores on day 15 (third Friday), Munjya saw over an 83% jump in numbers on day 16 (third Saturday) as it minted Rs 5.5 crores, taking the overall collections of the movie to Rs 76.45 crores. Given the ongoing trend, Munjya is expected to see another hike today (day 17/third Sunday) and is likely to mint Rs 5-6 crores, which will push the overall collection past the Rs 80 crores mark. It remains to be seen if Munjya will be able to enter the Rs 100 crore club in week 3.
Meanwhile, discussing Munjya's success, Sharvari stated, "My producer Dinesh Vijan and my director Aditya Sarpotdar had an ambitious aim to deliver a theatrical experience like no other through Munjya. They were clear that the CGI character needed to impress people, and Dinesh sir went to the best VFX company to fulfil their vision. I was blown away when I saw the CGI character in the film, and the audience feels the same too, which is why our film is such a huge blockbuster."
