Munjya's Box Office Journey: Close To Hitting 70Cr In Just Two Weeks

Munjya Box Office Collection Day 14: Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films has established a strong presence in the horror comedy genre with films like Stree, Roohi, and Bhediya. Their latest release, Munjya, continues this trend. Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, Munjya features Abhay Verma, Sharvari, Mona Singh, Suhasini Joshi, Taranjot Singh, and Sathyaraj in pivotal roles. The film is inspired by Indian folklore and centres around the legend of Munjya.

The performances of Abhay and Sharvari, combined with the eerie storyline and advanced CGI character, have captivated audiences. Munjya opened to positive reviews and has maintained a strong box office presence since its release. The film recorded an opening day collection of Rs 4 crores and crossed Rs 50 crores during its second weekend.

Despite facing competition from Kartik Aaryan's Chandu Champion, Munjya continues to perform well at the box office. According to Sacnilk, the film earned Rs 3.4 crores on its twelfth day (second Tuesday) and Rs 3 crores on its thirteenth day (second Wednesday). On its fourteenth day (second Thursday), Munjya collected Rs 2.50 crores, bringing its total earnings to Rs 67.95 crores.

Sharvari commented on the film's success, stating, "My producer Dinesh Vijan and my director Aditya Sarpotdar aimed to deliver a unique theatrical experience through Munjya. They ensured that the CGI character would impress audiences by collaborating with a top VFX company. I was amazed by the CGI character in the film, and it seems the audience shares this sentiment, contributing to our film's blockbuster status."
