Munjya Box Office Collection Tops 35Cr In First Week, Eyes Stree's Record

Munjya Box Office Collection Day 7: Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films has introduced another addition to its successful horror-comedy lineup. The latest film, Munjya, stars Abhay Verma, Sharvari, Mona Singh, Suhas Joshi, and Sathyaraj. Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, Munjya draws inspiration from Indian folklore and has garnered attention for its performances and CGI work.

Munjya opened to positive reviews and generated significant buzz. The film earned Rs 4 crores on its release day and saw a substantial increase over the opening weekend. Despite facing competition from Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor's Mr and Mrs Mahi, Munjya maintained a strong presence at the box office, though it experienced a dip in numbers on the first Monday.

Munjya Surpasses 35Cr in Week 1

According to Sacnilk, Munjya continued its strong performance with Rs 4 crores on day 6 (first Wednesday) and Rs 3.9 crores on day 7 (first Thursday). The film accumulated Rs 35.30 crores in its first week. While often compared to Shraddha Kapoor's Stree, Munjya's first-week collection is about half of Stree's Rs 60.38 crores.

Discussing her role in Munjya, Sharvari told ETimes, "My character is a modern girl who wants to achieve her dreams and prioritises them before everything else, which I think we all do nowadays. Many girls will relate to my character. Her dating life is also quite confusing; many girls will relate to that too. A very beautifully written character."
