Munjya's Box Office Journey: Nearing The Coveted ₹100 Crore Club

Munjya Box Office Collection Day 19 Prediction: Sharvari Wagh and Abhay Verma are currently enjoying the success of their latest film, Munjya. Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, this horror-comedy is inspired by a supernatural entity from Maharashtrian folklore. Released on June 7, 2024, Munjya is part of Maddock Films' horror-comedy universe, following 'Stree', 'Roohi', and 'Bhediya'. The movie features Sharvari, Abhay Verma, Mona Singh, and Taran Singh among others. It has become a major hit and shows no signs of slowing down.

Munjya marked Sharvari's biggest opening day collection of her career. She previously debuted in Bollywood with Bunty Aur Babli 2 alongside Saif Ali Khan, Rani Mukerji, and Siddhant Chaturvedi. The film earned Rs 4 crore on its first day. Due to positive word-of-mouth and high anticipation, it collected Rs 35.30 crore in the first week and Rs 32.65 crore in the second week.

According to Sacnilk, Munjya experienced a 67.15% drop in collections recently but still managed to earn around Rs 2.25 crore. This brings its total earnings to approximately Rs 85.55 crore over 18 days.

Day-wise Collection:

Sacnilk's latest report indicates that Munjya has earned Rs 56 lakhs today (3rd Tuesday). With this trend, the film is expected to join the Rs100-crore club soon.

The movie will face tough competition from Kalki 2898 AD starring Prabhas and Deepika Padukone, which releases on June 27.

The success of Munjya highlights the audience's growing interest in horror-comedies rooted in local folklore.
