Mumbai Police Trace Threat Call To Salman Khan, Identifying Caller As Venkatesh From Karnataka
Bollywood actor Salman Khan is once again in the spotlight, not for his films but due to a threatening phone call. The Mumbai Police quickly traced the call to Karnataka, identifying the caller as Venkatesh. This incident has led to heightened security for Khan, underscoring ongoing safety concerns.
The threat was made against Salman Khan and mentioned Lawrence Bishnoi. It was received at the traffic police control room. Bishnoi, a gangster linked to a community upset by Khan's past actions, has intensified the situation. Mumbai Police tracked the call to Venkatesh in Karnataka and sent a team to investigate further.

Mumbai Police issued a statement detailing the threat received on November 7, 2024. The call targeted Salman Khan and the lyricist of "Main Sikandar Hoo," through the traffic helpline. A case has been registered at Worli Police Station, highlighting the seriousness of this threat.
This is part of a series of threats linked to Khan's involvement in the 1998 blackbuck poaching case during "Hum Saath Saath Hain" filming. The Bishnoi community, for whom the blackbuck is sacred, was angered. Lawrence Bishnoi demands an apology from Khan, threatening severe consequences if not met.
Shah Rukh Khan also received a threat call demanding Rs 50 lakh ransom from Faizan in Raipur. Mumbai Police are investigating this threat, suggesting a pattern targeting high-profile celebrities.
These threats follow political leader Baba Siddique's murder, heightening safety concerns. A member of Bishnoi's gang claimed responsibility for Siddique's murder and threatened Salman Khan. In response, Mumbai Police have increased security for Khan with an escort vehicle and Special Reserve Police Force (SRPF) at his homes.
Ongoing Investigations and Safety Concerns
The threats against Salman Khan highlight security challenges for public figures, prompting law enforcement vigilance. As investigations continue in Karnataka and Raipur, there is hope to address these threats and ensure safety for those targeted.
