18th Mumbai International Film Festival To Showcase Exclusive Masterclasses And Conversations
The 18th edition of the Mumbai International Film Festival (MIFF) is scheduled to take place from 15th June to 21st June at the National Museum of Indian Cinema (NMIC), Pedder Road, Mumbai.
This biennial event, organised by the NFDC, focuses on shorts, documentaries, and animation films. It will feature several masterclasses and panel discussions covering a wide range of filmmaking techniques and formats.

Among the highlights is a masterclass by Nemil Shah, a 28-year-old filmmaker who won a National Award for his short film Dal Bhat. He will be joined by Alphonse Roy, a wildlife cinematographer known for documentaries such as Treasure Seekers: Tibet's Hidden Kingdom and Man Eaters of India.
Other notable sessions include award-winning animation director Georges Schwizgebel, known for The Flight of Icarus. Documentary filmmaker Audrius Stonys and film editor Ollie Huddleston will also conduct masterclasses on their respective fields.
Panel Discussions
The festival will feature a conversation with award-winning filmmaker Richie Mehta on the anatomy of a crime thriller. Additionally, there will be a panel discussion on the evolution of animation films. Participants include veteran filmmaker Ketan Mehta, Emmy-nominated animation filmmaker Vaibhav Kumaresh, actor-producer Jackky Bhagnani, and writer-filmmaker Mohammad Kheirandish.
