Mismatched Season 3 Review: In November 2020, amidst the pandemic, Netflix introduced "Mismatched," a rom-com featuring Rohit Saraf and Prajakta Koli. The series was well-received by critics and audiences alike. Following the success of its first season, the second season premiered in 2022 and also garnered positive feedback. Now, with the release of Mismatched Season 3 on Netflix, we explore whether it lives up to its predecessors.

Season 2 concluded with Rishi (Rohit Saraf) being accepted into NNIT while Dimple faced rejection. Fast forward three years, Rishi is thriving in Hyderabad, working on a project called Betterverse with Nandini (Dipanita Sharma), Anmol (Taaruk Raina), and others. Meanwhile, Dimple (Prajakta Koli) resides in Ambala with her parents, pursuing online courses. Sid Sir (Rannvijay Singha) establishes an institute on the same campus as NNIT, where Dimple enrolls. The series continues to explore themes of study, romance, friendship, and rivalry.

The initial seasons of Mismatched brought a refreshing change to Indian OTT content aimed at youth audiences. However, Season 3 struggles to maintain this momentum. Apart from the Betterverse storyline, little else captivates viewers' interest. The love story feels repetitive, and even the LGBTQIA+ elements lack novelty. Expectations were high for this season following its predecessors' success, but it falls short.

In terms of performances, Rohit Saraf, Taaruk Raina, Abhinav Sharma, and Ahsaas Channa stand out with their layered portrayals. Prajakta Koli's performance as Dimple remains decent; however, the script offers her limited scope for innovation. Supporting actors like Rannvijay Singha, Vidya Malvade, Muskkaan Jaferi, Dipannita Sharma, and Kshitee Jog deliver commendable performances in their respective roles.
