Kartik Aaryan: The Inspiring Journey Of B-Town's Youngest 200 Cr Actor

Kartik Aaryan, known for his monologues in 'Pyaar Ka Punchnama', has showcased his versatility in films like 'Freddy' and 'Dhamaka'. His journey from Gwalior to Mumbai for college marked the beginning of his acting career. Despite early struggles, he has made significant strides in Bollywood.

Initially, Kartik shared a 2-BHK flat with 12 roommates in Andheri. In an interview with Mashable, he recalled struggling to pay rent after several flops. He mentioned living alone but facing financial difficulties as his films were not performing well at the box office.

"I moved into a house where I lived alone but I was struggling a lot then. I didn't have much money coming in and my films were not working. Pyaar Ka Punchnama had come at that time but that did not work much in my favour. After that Akaash Vaani did not do well, Kaanchi also didn't work. Guest in London also didn't work. Nobody knew much about these films as they were not working at the box office," Kartik shared.

He further added, "I was going through a lot of struggle when I lived here but I was very connected to this place. There was a point where I couldn't pay the rent of this house. It was a very strange time because I was thinking either I bring in some roommates or I start sharing with someone else. Then finally Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety happened. I was paying ₹2,000 as rent then. At one point, it went up to ₹4,000."

'Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety' (2018) became a game-changer for Kartik Aaryan's career despite earlier successes like 'Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2' (2015). This film significantly boosted his popularity and opened new doors for him in the industry.

In 2021, Kartik faced controversy when he exited Dharma Productions' 'Dostana 2'. His departure from the project with Janhvi Kapoor and Lakshya surprised many. Although Kartik remained silent about it, rumours of disagreements with Karan Johar circulated widely.

According to Sacnilk, 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3' has earned approximately Rs 212.10 crore within just 13 days in India.
